EDDIE HOLLAND CATALOGUE
Thyra is party to a definitive agreement to acquire the writer’s share of the Eddie Holland LP catalog (the “EHL Catalog” or the “Catalog”). Mr. Holland was part of “Holland-Dozier-Holland”, the famous songwriting team that wrote many of the songs that defined the Motown sound in the 1960’s. The EHL Catalog contains 25 #1 hit singles that are staples such as "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)" and “Baby Love” by Marvin Gaye, and "Stop! In the Name of Love", “You Can’t Hurry Love”, and "You Keep Me Hangin' On" by The Supremes. In addition to the original Motown artists, many of these songs became multi-generational hits, due to new versions recorded by artists such as Rod Stewart, James Taylor and Phil Collins. The EHL Catalog has significant cultural value and is considered to be one of the crown jewels of the music publishing industry, making it an ideal first investment for the Fund in the music publishing sector.
